abit in9 max wifi problem please help...

I have the above motherboard and a really annoying problem.
My system is watercooled with a corsair H50.
When the computer is on after a while an alarm beep comes up.
I went into the bios and what is causing this beep is the PWM phase 5 temperature that goes over the beep limit of 125° is this problem fixable?can anyone help?

If i disable that beep alert will my motherboard experience problem?
I believe that phase 5 PWM is the 5 mosfet,true?

hi, I have this board and also experienced the same problem as you are facing now. Actually most of the people does face this problem with this board. So the cause of high temperature on pwm is the thermal pad does not make a good contact on the mosfet.

The solution is you need to dismount your motherboard's heatsink. Then replace with a new thermal pad that is about 2mm thick on the pwm cooling section. Mount back the heatsink, start up the board and check the temperature via bios. If the temperature of all 5 phases are around 45-50c then try do some stress test on the CPU to check if the maximum temperature on pwm limits at around 6x-70c. If the pwm temperature goes beyond that limit, then u need to check if the thermal pad are in a good contact.
