Asus AN8 Ultra Memory upgrade problem

I recently got 4 gig of Corsair memory to upgrade my system but when I try to boot, at some random point Windows (XP 64) locks up. Do I need to upgrade the BIOS? Is there a Windows setting I need to change?

No, there are no settings to change.

If your bios version is out of date I do suggest updating it. Make sure you take out the offending ram first, as a failed upgrade will turn the motherboard into a paper weight.

Unfortunately not all memory modules work on all motherboards, there is always a small chance of incompatibility, especially with higher capacity (2GB and higher) modules. The motherboard manual states support for up to 4GB by installing 4 x 1GB modules.

Have you tried loading the bios defaults?
Do the modules work when installed independently of each other?
    Have you run MemTest86+?
Are all modules the same (same exact part number#)?
