Heres what you need to try.

Disconnect everything HDD, optical drives, Memory, graphics cards.
    - Just leave the CPU and PSU plugged in.
    - If possible remove motherboard from the case
    - Clear the cmos
    - Power on the motherboard
    - If it shows code C1 then switch off and plug in the memory, graphics and the board should post OK.
    - If it still shows code 90 then have the CPU tested. If the CPU is ok then the motherboard is faulty and its time to RMA.

it could also be power related - we've been seeing a lot of dead/dying Antecs recently.

Faulty power supplies shouldn't cause a code 90 error.

definitely seen 9.0. on uGuru boards with faulty power supplies, same as if the board were shorting out you can get 9.0 shown.

Its always a possibility that the PSU is faulty. When fault finding you must check every single component. But IMO it more than likely to be a faulty motherboard.
