Been with consoles this past year, haven't taken much notice on the PC front. Decided just before Xmas to drop £1500 on a new rig, brought the parts, built it up............not really that overwhelmed to tell you the truth. (setup on the signiture)

I know I scrimped a bit on CPU but was hoping for a better score than 10389 on 3DMARK05, or am I just being dumb

Also, one more problem, MOBO states I'm running in fail safe state, is that a problem

I realise this is an old thread but I will endevour to help.

That is a good score you have there, that does sound about right. I have a 7900gt and a 6600 conroe and that is my score at stock also. Where does it specifiy your motherboard is running in failsafe mode please?

OK, it's good to know that!

Failsafe mode is stated on post boot script, also board is running ram at 667 instead of 800, you can change it manually but it resets itself, weird hah?

As in the pc resets when you change to ddr800? If so make sure the board is set to give your memory the voltage that is specified by the memory company.
