Question Another I Pod tech question

Hi, I am new to the forum, so i hope this is the right place to post this: My son has a 2 gig I Pod and all a sudden it does not seem to want to take a charge. He got a new TEAC am/fm radio clock, with I Pod plug in and it will not charge his I Pod nor will my computer., It seems to have frozen. Any help would be gladly appreciated.
