There are new xservers too as well as new graphics options for the mac pro including an nvidia 8800 gt option.
Bit surprising they announced these today as macworld is next week. Makes you wonder what they will announce then...

Why do Apple always say "this is the fastest Mac we've ever made" when launching new products? They aren't going to release a replacement product that is slower so why bother even saying it?

Also mikerr, although you have linked to a cheap Xeon based machine, its of a very low spec and it is only a dual core, whereas the mac pros now come with 8 cores! So theres quite a jump in performance there!
