    Imac EFI firmware update

Anyone else having trouble updating to iMac EFI firmware update 1.3?

I keep installing it but once I shutdown and install the update (including holding the power button) it keeps popping up saying I should update.

    Any ideas?

Are you sure you're doing it right? When you hold down the power button you should hear a beeping sound. After that, you should see a progress bar below the Apple as the firmware update is being applied.

The next time you boot, you should also see a dialogue saying that the update was applied successfully.

Nope I'm doing it correctly and can hear the long beep. I don't see any status install bar though.

Its starting to get annoying now, I've had the update message over 100 times

Sorry, no idea then. You could try running "Repair Permissions" first, then re-running the update: http://www.ncmug.org/tips/repair_permissons.html
