    Pismo Upgrades

Right got a 500Mhz pismo to play with.

First thing I want to sort out is the HDD.

    Would you choose:

    Brand new 80GB Apple 4200 RPM 2.5ins

    or

    Seagate ST94811A 40gb 8mb Cache 2.5ins 5400rpm?

I'm thinking 80gb in the apple would be nice, but 540rpm 8mb would be a bit faster.

    Help me decide!

Hm, a hard choice indeed. I don't really know what to tell ya since I'm a bit usecure myself Well, but what are you going to do with the comp? Do you need it to be so fast? Isn't it enough with the other one? Cos If you don't need the comp to be soo fast then I would say go for the brand new one .

They are both brand new drives.

I can get the 80gb Apple 4200 for £96 wink wink

Or the seagate for around £75.

To be honest, I don't know what I am going to do with the laptop! Maybe sit and listen to MP3's, play a little game of pac man or something lol. Just can't sit there with it only having 12gb!

Okay I see, well it doesn't seem like you need to have such a fast laptop then. Listening to MP3's, play a little game of pac man...doesn't require such a fast thing So I'd say go for the apple, but if you want to save some money go for the cheap one *hehe*

Btw, I can understand that you don't wanna sit with a 12gb

Well I am sure that the 80gb from Apple dealers is nearly £500 so its cheap. But I don't know what to do, size or speed.... hmm that sounds a little dodgy lol
