    i-Pod fun

    * - Please don't use this thread to comment on your opinion regarding the pro's and con's of either Musicmatch Jukebox or i-Pods in general.

    The Problem

Upon setting up a new 40GB i-Pod for my boss, it refuses to be detected as a portable device within Musicmatch Jukebox. It has the latest firmware as of today, and iTunes worked fine to format it, and transfer the entire music collection over to it.

MMJB reports no devices other than "Nero cd writer plug-in" or similar as a portable device with which to attempt to connect to. Oh, actually it detects his Dell Axim PDA when it's in the cradle, but nothing when it is removed.

Some people say uninstall nero, this will be attempted at some point, but it would be nice if MMJB could be used to transfer music to the device, since not all of us have faith in Apple's software. As well as i'm sure it functions.

    Thanks.

Yeah Elspuddy there used to be a plugin for Musicmatch Jukebox v8.0 which allowed iPod functionality, but now the person in question has updated to v9.0 and for some reason the app that used to sit in the system tray (iPodManager.exe) and its' relating process terminate themselves after being present for a few seconds, oh well I guess nero uninstallation is the next plan

Windows 2000 on the current system though, so when the new computer comes with XP on, we should have a different set of variables, so it won't be worth fault finding for now.

Walibe, my boss prefers MMJB, and he uses it to rip + tag at the moment, so it'd be nicer to stick to just one app instead of having more installed for the same job in all honesty.

    Thanks guys
