    'Screen Spanning Doctor'

Has anyone tried this.I've just got a 17'' flat screen and I thought it would be good to use with my 12''iBook.

I take it this allows you to use an additional screen without mirroring?

As I'm sure you are aware, the iBooks don't offer this feature as standard. I'm told that this is more than just a cynical marketing ploy; the cooling system often isn't up to the job of cooling the extra load on the gpu. It's usually ok with the screen open, but I've heard tales of the LCD cracking when close owing to the heat build up.

Thanks for that. I think I'll give it a miss.
