Finally got my screen setup yay!!

Hi all, bought a projector about a month back, been using it the back of 2 large posters up until now. My DRH screen got delivered this morning, set it up and wow big improvement on the picture hehe. Just wanted to thank the peeps for pointing me in the right direction for getting my projection screen, the wait was well worth it.

Will take some movie shots later but gotta rush and get into uni

gotta ask....your keyboard....does ithave wires going through thebench underneath it, or is it wireless....cos its the SAME as mine and mine aint wireless.

That is also one serious speaker arrangement for a desk top. Fair play

hihi Zak, no I didn't put a drill to my nice desk to hide the wires hehe..its a logitech wireless desktop I bought off ebay about a year ago..sorry not sure about model no. sowwie

as for speaker setups in my room its a bit hectic, I got a Shuttle SN45G which supports both ana/digital outputs. Analogue I got plugged to active sub + 2 speakers(TV). Digital output to amp, 2.1 for desktop(TFT), then 5.1 for projector. You can see the 2 wharfedales and 1 mission on my desk.

heres a pic of projector with bleach/naruto..not sure if anyone here are anime fans but they are pretty kewl pics anywayz.

Great screen set up. How much did it cost in total? Total shame that Naruto is now licensed to the Cartoon Network. They are getting rid of the blood and everything. Same goes to One peice too.

What projector do you have? I'm starting to think in terms of getting one ...

Would it be possible to take some photos with it running in normal daylight?

I got the Acer PD113 from ebuyer, its a 800x600 data projector. 2000 hour normal mode, 3000 hrs eco mode which I alwayz run since its quieter. Runs about 29db according to the website, not loud but you can hear it.

The projectors out atm which are best value for money are listed below, all sub £600 with their advantages and disadvantages, just have to research and pick the one which is best for your needs,

    Infocus X1
    Epson EMP-TW10H
    Benq PB6100

tbh the picture only look great when you have minimal light from other sources apart from the projector itself..if you have a lot of light you can barely see the picture. No big problem since I normally ever use it at night watching films/anime. I got a blackout blind from ikea so I can use during the day.

Acer PD113 £535 atm I think, bargain if you looking to get your first projector, its DLP technology and has 2 year warranty. If you get fairly good eye slight like me you might suffer some of the rainbow effect. So have a demo before you choose between LCD and DLP. Even though I can see the rainbows the picture quality over LCD is so much better and it only happens every so often.
