am i the only one seriously under impressed by this?

    Propriatry DRM - BAD
Battery Life (comparied to say sony's flash ones) - BAD
    Battery Replacement Options - BAD
    Supported formats - BAD
Size - BAD (no point having something that hudge, in 2 dimenions..... i know its an icon, but its fugly)
Quality (no hidef support) - BAD
Apple's legindery build quality & support - BAD
Pricetag - BAD (for us uk peeps ne rate)

Okay lets try n find something good about it?
If your lower class, its bling, Thats good.
If you want to out class people on the tube, with a na ya. Its good for that (apple fans won't recognise an HD3 as a 20gig player, because its too small, and the battery life is too long)

So please, someone tell me something this does which another player dosen't? Am i the only person that would rather have a white on black Organic LCD screen as oposed to colour? (I have 20/20 vision fyi) I just prefer bigger viewing angle + less batterylife. But at least this fits in perfectly with what i expect from apple.

I think the storage is mostly irrelivant. Personally, I would be amazed if 1,000 good songs have been made in the history of this planet.

As for the color screen, is it really that relivant?

If your lower class, its bling, Thats good.
I'm lower class and wouldn't spend a cent on "bling", or an ipod, or new shoes when my 5 year old new balance running shoes with reguled on soles work fine!

I might steal an Ipod, but only to sell it, or trade it for necissities like athlon 64s, weapons, and food.

I use an "inline" remote on my HD3, which is obscured by my coat, so when i'm walking around people can't see it, apple want you to wear this on your arm, activily re-enforcing brand dominence.... and getting you mugged, means u'll just buy another.

I have to admit, I dont like the idea of having to wear this "openly". Here in London you can get mugged for anything, so this would really be like dangling a sign around your neck saying mug me.

The only advanatge seems to be its small and for the price tag and the fact you can only use itunes no other online music service it just doesnt seem like a good buy tbh

Even though you use iTunes (it is a pretty nice app, on the Mac side anyways) you don't *have* to use the iTunes music store. Of course you can but there are other ways and means of getting music, like going to HMV/Virgin and actually paying for it, and of course the not so legal way which isn't recommended. However, I do not want to jump into a Winamp vs. iTunes debate here...

I got a white 4Gb nano last week and altho it is scratched after having been very carefully handled, I'm very happy with how it works. Hoping apple do a recall or something to sort out the scratching issue...
