Yeah they well be but it hasnt been updated in years and even the ibook has had a bump since then. Surely the "pro" level laptops need to be sorted first. The intel powerbook is at least a year away so as it stands now they will be selling a 2.5year old machine by then. And at top price. If any other computer manu did that they would be laughed into 0 sales.

I think you're just gonna have to accept that Apple are far too busy chasing the consumer market with their "i" products to be that bothered about the Pro market any more.

Edit: I sent a friend of mine back into John Lewis with her unopened 17" iMac to get a refund and order the new one from the HE store. Cooked up a **** storm apparantly, but I don't care cause I don't work there any more . I'll let you know what it's like when I can get a hold of it.

Yes because through the release of the new iMac, to the second revision of it, to the current third revision, the launch of the Mac mini, the launch of the 4 and 6 gig iPod minis, the launch of the iPod shuffle, the moving of all the traditonal iPods to colour screens, the launch of the nano, the launch of the video iPods, the new iBooks with everything built in, Apple have done what to the PowerMac and PowerBook range?

Oh, wait, I guess one new event after years of doing nothing at all can make up for that? I hope they can as much as the next person, I want to replace my notebook next summer, and I'd like it to be an Intel powered Mac, but we shall have to wait and see who takes priority. I can't blame them for chasing the i-market, but to say they aren't is just plain wrong.
