Scheduled audio recording with a Mac?

    Hello all - me again..

I'd like to be able to be able to make scheduled/automated recordings in WAV CD quality. I heard someone mention a while ago that such a thing may be achievable with Apple-Scripts and one of the freebie mac audio apps??

Would it also be possible to automate the copying of the recorded files from the local mac hard disc to another location, ie: a network share?

We've achieved similar to this with a PC, but the scheduling software we've got is so unreliable, and as Mac-Minis are so cheap, we thought there might be a better solution on the different platform. I don't know the first thing about how this would work, and would be so grateful for some pointers.

Firstly, Google for Audacity. It's a freeware audio editor. Download and install.

Get a script set up to fire up Audacity at the relevant times.. then alter the script to dump the file elsewhere. In theory it's doable, but personally I've got no experience of using the scripts since everything I do with my macs is realtime.
