    .CUE errors

I was working my way through naming some music when i came across two
.cue files which were reported by EAC as having errors

The Jimmy eat world problem is: INDEX position is behind end of FILE in line 43

The Lostprophets is the same apart from it is line 32

    I cant see anything wrong?

Does the line number include the REM's?

for Have you tried opening the CUE in Foobar2000? If it plays back fine, i would not worry about it.

Have you modified these CUE sheets at all after they were created by EAC? Looks OK to me, probably worth posting on the HydrogenAudio forums. I don't think many people use CUE sheets around here. I do, its a great way of archiving music, but i have not seen that error before.

It could posibly be caused by an error in the gap detection when the CD was ripped.

If you need to get a CD burned and you cant get EAC to do it, try Feurio. It's great at burning from CUE's

What was the error in Foober? Post the log if you can. Can you play the file without using the CUE?

Ill probably just back the cds up again, its only two, but i have a bigger problem:

FooBar does not read the Genre from the CUE file, how do i set it to do that?

Edit: Actually it appears not to read it at all? Its written how EAC wrote it:

    REM GENRE Rock
    REM DATE 2004

It does not read the date eaither?

REM is a comment. Anything with REM beofre it will be ignored. But I'm not sure if removing the REM will help. You are better of compressing the WAV's to a FLAC. Not only are FLAC's smaller with no loss of sound quality, but they are tagable (you cant use tags with WAVs). Then set the relevant tags in the FLAC to the genre, date etc. You can even embed the whole CUE sheet into the FLAC in a tag called 'CUESHEET' and you will only have one file to worry about then.
