Looking at getting some bits done to the car..

I was thinking about getting a darker one for an extra 60HP though? Do most places do darker ones?

Look at the glare on normal headlights compared to the projectors - this is why aftermarket HIDs are bad and will be banned, you watch.

I can't take any credit for the comparison, I found it on the net somewhere ages ago.

Putting rear discs on.....

1) You'll have to faff with the handbrake

2) You MAY have to change the M/S size to suit

3) You'll have to make sure the bias is still right

4) You'll probably find you need to change the arms/hubs

On top of that, there's the hose work to pay for, discs, pads, time.

At the end of the day, it's a FWD car (90% braking on the front)that don't weigh a lot and isn't that powerful. Drums will work just fine.

Put smaller alloys on that hide them more


Those bulbs are a pair, think they might include some sidelights too, not sure

If you're going to paint drums, paint them black to hide the blummin things. Nothing stinks more than a car with painted drums...

So for those Phillips bulbs.. would I need projector headlights for those too? Or would those phillips ones be ok otherwise?

No they're just uprated bulbs that fit in the existing housing. Check what type of fitting they are on your car, H4, H1, H7 etc

I'm pretty sure it's H4. I checked at a shop today and I checked on the website you gave me too. Also on an ebay auction my car was listed on the list.

I'd say either Black or Rust for the drums will do fine Nothing wrong with Rust.

the tints will make the car much faster - you should see at least +10bhp at the wheels!

Well I got some of those bright bulbs by Phillips.. It's still daylight so I havent had a chance to test them properly yet.. but they look a bit brighter than the old ones.. but I can't say I'm amazed by just looking at them. I'll take them somewhere pitch black tonight and try and get some pictures
