Well quite- that's the point. I'm guessing that a BMW 335d engine wouldn't be particularly happy running at 6000+ RPM either.....

I don't like your first image (of the equation) much. Engine torque x gear ratio does not equal the total force acting on the car, for a start, because there's lots of resistance to its motion.

Edit: 2nd image is fine though.

correct - the first is a simple model to measure (estimate) acceleration...
