    new bmw 335i

Am quite into my beamers, was looking about this morning while im at work at the m3 forum see if theres anything interesting to read, and i just caught a glimpse of some1 saying the new 335i is as quick as the current m3, i though cant be checked it out and..

the e46 m3 will do 60 in just over 5 secs, and the new 335i is a sub 5 second time

amazing seeing as the price is about 12k less

the new m3 is going to be an animal me thinks, with stats like that from the top of the range "normal 3 series" the m sport one is going to be brutishly fast. Packing a v8 this time

The 335i is ridiculously powerful, someone on another forum I visit aparantly timed theirs at 4.9 seconds, which for a non-M beemer is a little brisk.

A 330D (i think it is, not 335D?) drove past me the other day, sounded like a petrol V6 more than a diesel!

they do make a 335d mate twin turbo monster

as you say its alarmingly fast for a non m bmw.

thats like the same speed ass an rs4 at MUCH lower cost..

The 335d would be my choice, chance of at least semi decent mpg.

That and the torque on modern diesels is immense

Oh, and I thought they were still using straight 6s? not v6s?

The 335d has more peak torque than a F430... which is quite amazing really.

Beemers get a lot of stick, but they're stunning cars. I had a quick play in the (now)older version of the M3. Awesome fun. Now I just need a license and a decent job and I might be able to get one

My neighbour has one of the big diesel versions and apart from the little d on the boot you'd swear it was a petrol.

apparently reading up more on the subject its not going to be THAT much quicker then the 335i as is cant possibly do 60 in under 4 secs lol thats madness.

but the v8 is going to give it some mad torque and its going to sound like a monster.

there is alot of mad facts, i think there is a fact about the new m5 being quicker from a certain point to a certain point than an f1 car or something silly..

Yeah I remember watching it too, I think everyone knew instantly he was gone. His legacy has left F1 immeasurably safer.

RIP Ayrton. Great driver, terrible loss to the motorsport world. Still one of the worlds most iconic drivers over a decade later.

Theres some sound samples on Pistonheads somewhere... and a big argument how the torque on the engine is a bit naff...
