    Mega Motorsport Sunday!

MotoGP was exciting as always. Those last few laps were just mental. Interesting to see the difference of the Desmo and the other bikes from the beginning of the season and now. Stoner's still got that extra speed on the straights but it's not as fast as it was. I imagine Yahama and Honda have caught up a bit and Ducati have dialed it down to conserve fuel some.

And it's all going on in F1 right now. Kubica in a horrible, horrible looking crash. Worst I've seen in a long time. Not good at all, hope he's OK. Stop and go penalties for Alonso and Rosberg.

James Allen is really annoying me now, such bad commentary. Apparently if you're on lap 49, take on fuel that'll keep you going for 18 laps, you'll be in again for more by lap 39-40 It took him a good 2 minutes to acknowledge that Massa had passed Alonso too, it even came up on screen ALONSO 4 just before he said "And Massa is closing in on the back of Alonso"

Well done to Lewis though! Think that warrants a new thread!

The ITV coverage was shockingly bad, including poor advert breaks and they didn't even cover the press conference for Lewis' first win.

Moto GP was a very very good race - top marks to Stoner - he seems to fight the same way Rossi does.

The worst thing ever to happen to the British Touring Cars, British Superbikes and Formula One was ITV getting the contracts. Their coverage of the touring cars and british superbikes is shocking.

He must have had his own 'commercial break' - he's so bad it's almost funny..

I think the james allen bit was pre-recorded during the ad break.

But yes.. touring cars? Do they even exist any more?

Yeah.. only on ITV4, been demoted a bit. Its a shame really, over the last few years the ITV coverage has really let down. At one point it was fantastic coverage, nearly every race weekend it was live for a good 2 hours.

But now I think it has gone to the paying punters at Setanta sport (who the hell is going to pay £15 per/month for that tosh)

I think ITV should get it sorted, or hand back to the BBC. I think that the BBC should have another stab at BSB, WSBK, BTCC and F1. But only if they promise to show all of the races (not just a couple that dont coincide with Diagnosis:Murder or Eastender omnibus)

BTCC back to ITV1 as of Donny in 2 weeks time http://www.btcc.net/html/generalnews...f7d6b47444100d
We are returning to ITV1 at the perfect moment
Surely the perfect moment would have been back in April? I suppose now F1 is in Europe for now it's a bit easier for them to schedule it in.

Anyone watch MotoGP yesterday? Rossi had a blinding race. At one point he was 4 seconds off Stoner, I used the computer for a couple of laps, looked back and he was right up his arse. It's a pity it looked like they were filming with camera phone, though.

F1 today, Hamilton in front row shocker. Looking forward to him having a nightmare of a qualifying sesh sometime so he has to battle with more than just Alonso, Massa and occasionally Kimi. Should be a closer race today, though, looking at the pace of the Ferraris so far this weekend.

GP2 crash from Magny-Cours yesterday. If that had been a few inches to the right I think there would have been a fatality.

    Yep, he is fine!

    A quote from Racing Engineering Team boss Alfonso Orleans;

"Just an update for everyone. Went to see Ernesto last night. He was in good spirits and already wanting to race. Sadly, he will not be able to race in Silverstone. He will have to wait for the green light from the FIA doctors and it won't be for a couple of weeks."
"If you're not on the edge, you're taking up too much room!"

I believe (haven't checked up on it since yesterday morning) that he has a mild concussion and what I heard was a broken arm. No sudden stop, but if he'd caught that bridge, he'd have been in serious trouble.

There was another scary moment at the start of that same race - 2 teammates collided just after the line (!) and one rode over the top of the other - Timo Glock had a rear wheel (still on the other car) smacking him in the head - lucky not to be injured.

Oh yeah, MotoGP was awesome - great race.

MotoGP was legendary, I wish Rossi could have done that for us fans at Donington last weekend! Everyone was disappointed when Vermeulen overtook him

As for Viso, I think that was a lot worse than Kubica's crash at Montreal. He was lucky not have decapitated himself as he scraped along the wall upside down. I just cant beleive no one was injured, a few of the marshals could have easily been took out, and at that speed, they would have had no chance.
