Some you mix 1 in 10 parts to water....and it goes low....but its dead expensive
Other stuff looks like gallons of the stuff but you need 50/50 for same protection....
You gets what ya pay for...so next time your in Part Co or All Parts or Halfords...read the labels and see what you're getting.
And dont forget it should stop the BOTTLE freezing but NOT the nozzles cos wind chill does it no good at al!

mines concentrate but i still use it with 1:2 cos then i just need a bottle to fill up and its never gonna freeze hardly expensive is it

Wilko's ready to use washer fluid!
5 litres for £2.99, not frozen on me yet!
Freezing screen isn't my main problem at the moment, its damn condensation, Its improved following re-reading of the thread earlier in the year and Not using re-circulation, but it still occurs most mornings. No matter what I seem to do

TiG.....make sure AIR CON is OFF
Then get it HOT...take out the floor mats for a day and get them indoors to dry out.
Keep windows slightly open and fan on full heat......get that beast HOT inside!
Get the boot carpet up and check for moisture.....
its getting in SOMEWHERE...or more likely is in already. It needs fully drying out....you must have damp carpets or something...and thats not unusual.
With windows closed ALL SEASON, the moisture STAYS IN.
Plus...maybe there is a leak around a door or something similar from a repair.

Remeber i've never had aircon before. I know how the moisture got in, (damn colleagues opened window while going to the pub just after new year - rain got in, slightly open window and not been able to remove it since)

tig just look in your handbook for 'optimum demisting settings' (most cars have it in there) and set it too that when you start off. its normally something like main vents off, fan on 2/3, selector on 'windscreen', reciculation off

Right....Air Con is a refrigeration system...it coools the air.
It HAPPENS to de humidify it too, but thats only helpfull once the car is already dry inside...it takes moisture out of the fresh air, but some ALWAYS gets through...
The FAN is a different thing.....its the speed of the air coming in...
So turn AIR CON off (probably a snow flake symbol on an Octavia down near the ...
hang on...Ive got one here...

Make sure its OFF for the next few days.
ALso make sure RECIRCULATIONS (a round swooping arrow symbol) is OFF too.
Now get the car hot for a few days...full temp, full fan speed....blowing through all vents and get it hot...then ONCE its hot, open windows let it all out, then close again and heat up again...then open a crack and drive like that.
Or leave on drive way doing same.
ONCE CAR IS DRY inside (remember take up floor mats during drying out process) you can THEN benefit from Air Con to dry out moist air from outside....it uses a condesor under the bonnet and drops the damp on the road....BUT the problem is the last bit of ANY humidity makes it through the condensor and then FREEZES SOLID on the AIR CON radiator in your dash board..the one ful of freezing fluid..well it turns into a litlte ice block...and every time you turn your car off, the air con goes off too, and the ice melts...
bingo..day after, you blow air on the screen and its WET which means you have to switch on the air con again to freeze it solid...
Cruel Circle.....its why ANY AIR CON CAR should be used in equal amounts ON and OFF....dry it out occasssionally.
