i have a 306 td 1.9 t reg 99 - last week the handbrake light kept flicking on when the handbrake was off. no other problems with the car. now the light just stays on all the time! is this something that is cheap to fix? or a connection fault! any ideas would be fantastic

Could be the fluid is low as well.

Do people register on Hexus just to complain about 306 problems?

    that's a possiblity.

So too is the thought that the switch on the Handbrake itself is dodgy.

Could also be that the brake fluid level is low, due to worn pads. If your brake fluid is running a tad low, it's worth finding out why it's low rather than just topping it up.
