Anyone else work in miles per pound?

Yeah, that is very poor for a 125. If a litre is £1.08 (say) then a gallon is £4.90, and thus you're not getting much over 50mpg. My ER5 never went below 58mpg for an urban commute, and got up to 65mpg when I pumped the tyres up

I get about 40mpg out of mum's clio 1.9 diesel on the same commute.

That is possibly a slight exaggeration - looking at my receipts it appears to have cost £8 for my last fillup.

Rover 600 2l turbo....thirsty bugger! costs roughly £45-50 to fill up from virtually empty, and on all-town driving im lucky if I get 150mile out of her..... If i drive on a long journey at 70mph for 90% of the route I'll easily get 400miles on a full tank...
Im a fairly sedate driver as well - i dont thrash it round town....

That in the same league as what im getting! although mine isnt quite as badly affected by town driving. Although from empty its a £65-£70 job

Yeah, if I ran it to empty its a 65 litre tank....so about £70 to fill!

My petrol guage is a little innaccurate tho (as it obviously from fill-up price) displays the tank as 'empty' on the guage (no warning light tho) when it clearly has at least 20l left... :/

Its worth it for just over 200bhp tho
