Smart Roadster - Anyone have/had one?

A pal had one of the Brabus ones, and he loved it. Think it was just because of the Brabus bit though !

Insurance is a fair bit more for the Brabus ones though.

You could get a very nice MX-5 or MR-2 Mk3 for the same or less money. It seems to me that you have to care a lot about looking different to buy a car that in pretty much every other respect is inferior.

I'm not 6'5 though, and I guess the MR2 Roadster might well have even less luggage space (I had a Mk1 MR2, and that had enough for me).

Theyre very good fun to drive - like little go carts. Awesome fuel economy too. I really enjoyed my drive in one - BUT they are very expensive for what they are - the semi auto gearbox is a sluggish pain in the bum, and the horn sounds like an even gayer version of noddy's car.

You would probably be better of with an MX-5 - but i suppose if you want to be different the roadster is one way.
