Hey all,
Really like the look of these:
But I have a couple of concerns:
1) Are they any good?
2) I'm 6' 5" and will I fit in it?
I know they aren't that fast but I'm not so bothered about that, they just look fun.
Thanks in advacne,
Leon

You are going to struggle to get in and the insurance group is crazy on them for what they are...
I'm not sure what the leg room is like on one of these, but my mom used to have a normal Smart Car. I'm 6'3" and the leg room in the Smart Car was unbelievable - it was more roomy than any other car I've been in.
I thought the Smart Car was well fun, don't know if that translates to the Roadster though.
I understand that they have nasty, nasty semi-auto gearboxes.
Hmmm... You might fit in it, but you'd look mighty silly!
Oh and you wouldn't fit much beer in it.
I'm toying with the idea of getting one of these next year...
Oh yes, remembered that it's actually a forFour... so is the same family!

On the flip side... a friend of mine has one and she loves it, great fun to drive and although it may not have an amazing top speed it accelerates well enough. Nice little 1 litre engine plus a turbo.
Insurance is a bit high though and the parts are expensive, should you need them, because they're from Mercedes.
Thanks everyone for the information - guess I would have a problem with fitting in it. May just get in one to have a check
Insurance group 10/11 and does around 55MPG according to Parkers.
T'other halfs brother had one for a few years and loved it.
I managed to get behind the wheel a few times (I'm 6'3"+) and really enjoyed it.
Will you fit? In-elegantly but probably yes.
Will you be comfortable? Close call, possibly not.

Fabulously buzzy little engine which sounds great just behind your head.
Tiny relative to most other road users and v low so you get that sports-car feel.
Cheap as chips to run on fuel.

Boot is just about ok (he had roadster not coupe) - weekly shop not monthly
Front wings look great can make parking harder than such a tiny car should be.
Gearbox
It's not as bad as a four-two but the semi-auto still takes an age to shift in manual mode. TBH it's not as bad in auto-mode so just don't rush it.
It's a great little car just not an MX-5 in the driving stakes.
