Is this a joke? Hubcaps for Alloy wheels!?!?

ALLOY WHEEL PROTECTOR FOR AUDI A4 16 INCH on eBay, also, Other Wheels, Tyres Trims, Car Wheels, Tyres Trims, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 24-May-08 09:22:53 BST)

Alloy wheel protector... it's a plastic "cap" that goes over the top of the alloy wheels!!

Is this some kind of joke? Or is it for people who were forced into buying a new car with alloy wheels because the steel wheels weren't available anymore?

Madness I tells ya! made me laugh anyway

The only reasonable excuse for those things is surely only if you ever have the need for snow chains, otherwise, its like putting those rubber door protectors on a porsche.
