Re: Failed MOT, garage taking the wee wee?

Hehe, forgot to post yesterday, but I got a call from a different garage and:

MY CAR PASSED WITH NO WORK NEEDED!!!

No sign of the fuel leak, only a small hole in 1 piece of the exhaust but it passed the emissions test, and the play in the joint they also mentioned was just advisory. Forget the number plate as well, that was fine. Takes the wee wee indeed.

So people, avoid Bath MOT Center (no names mentioned...), but Genuine Car Services in Odd Down (South Bath) is fine.

The new garage point out that the failed MOT was actually just a refusal to test the car. The car may be deemed dangerous to drive but this is just the examiners opinion, so unless the police stop you and inspect your car for dangerousness(...) then it's up to your judgement.

Your car could become dangerous to drive at any time (ie if you think your brakes aren't up to scratch). It's down to someone to pull you over or you to take the car off the road yourself though.
