Tell ya what....while we're talking wheels....anyone seen the ones with the tyre valve in the CENTRE, behind the locking plate.....the air runs up the centre of a hollow spoke ..ok you have to take off the locking centre plate to put air in, but.....

    how smooth is THAT ?

Super Ts are nice. If they are in good nick go for it. I'd still rather have some Super Leggeras though.

He won't need the speedo done as long as a the rolling radius is simliar.

ie 16" wheels plus 205/50 is roughly equal to 17" wheels plus 215/40 etc (figures maybe wrong, but you get the idea.

i valgely remember reading somewhere that the radius is similar to what i've got at the moment...

    185/60/15 >> 205/40/17

    EDIT:

    http://www.csgnetwork.com/speedocalibcalc.html

When the vehicle speedometer indicates 60mph the vehicle speed is actually 59.28358208955223

I see where ya coming from but for every 60 miles you do.... the speedo will show 59 miles.... hardly clocking... It's not going to knock hundreds of miles off the car.

Besides, speedo's are not THAT acurate anyway.

In my Clio, 75mph on my speedo = 70mph on my Origin b2 GPS unit
