    Fiat Brava radio problem

    Got a 2nd hand Fiat Brava last Friday! The radio it has (stock one) is not working at all. I have changed the fuses for the radio set, but this has not fixed the problem. Any suggestions on what I should try??

    Re: Fiat Brava radio problem

    Can anyone clear this up fro me: When I got the car I was given one red key (master key) and two blue ones. But none of the keys has a button to central lock the car. I'm thinking that the reason the radio will not work is because I have not got the key with the central locking/alarm button on it. And i'm gussing I need this to use the radio.

    Could anyone confirm that??

    Re: Fiat Brava radio problem

    The Brava/o range didn't have remote central locking as standard, it was an upgrade (new relay and remote) that you could buy from Fiat. The Blue key is your normal key for everyday use - it came with two blue keys and a Red. The Red key is the Master key used to program new Blue keys into the system - DO NOT LOSE IT - replacement is new locks, keys, and ECU - circa £800.

    As for the radio not working, not sure - take it out and check it's wired in properly, they weren't the best units and the majority of owners swapped them out for better ones, maybe they swapped it back before selling it and haven't connected it up properly.

    Otherwise your best resource is BOO;
    The Fiat Bravo/a Owner Organisation (BOO) http://www.fiatboo.co.uk/home.htm
    and their forum http://www.network54.com/Forum/15639/

    No Problem, I had a Bravo for 6 years and loved it, what engine is yours ?

    Meant to mention there are instructions for all major faults on the BOO website, to get the radio out and check the connections see here - How to Remove the Radio
