I've driven those Vectras and the VXR model, they are a lot of car for the money but they understeer like a pig. Have you not considered maybe a Mondeo ST220, they handle so much better than the Vectra and performance is similar.

That'l be your right foot being none-too-subtle... recent Vectra's handle really well, and only need to be learned. I consider the turn-in to be quite sharp... actualy too sharp for my liking, and no really drift-wide unless you dial in too much steering. Vauxhalls ALL corners, of coaxed properly

Vectra VXR vs Mustang, across the Yorkshire Moors in the rain.... That Stang would be no where close.

Mondeo's are fractionally better though.. but a good driver in both would be very very similar performance.

Right, well I've only owned 2 cars, them being a 1978 Daihatsu F20 - spaceframed trials machine and a 1986 Land Rover Ninety - with the J14 2.5l Turbo Diesel engine and big tyres (255/85r16 )
Technically I own as well, although I share it with the wife: 2003 Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec
