I test drove one today.

It's GREAT!!!

I think in all honesty it has become top of my list. I also drove a Qashqai (Cash Cow?), which i like the style of, but i think that the Skoda beat it in terms of interior space, a tough/quality feeling of build, a better engine (price for price, the skoda has the 109 bhp 2.0, the Nissan has 105 bhp 1.5), and just felt like a better quality drive all round.

I can reasonably easily afford a lower-mid range one and not feel like i'm getting short changed on bits, as it comes with air-con, alloys, remote locking and various other bits. Nice one, thanks so much for the recommendation.
