    My Updates (Clio 172)

No pics I'm afraid, and not on the same length as EazieB's

I've owned it since Jan 10th, so just over 3 months.

So far I've bought and fitted the following:-

    OMP Rear Strut Brace
OMP Front Stut Brace (Still awaiting fitting)
K-Tec Twin 3" Cat Back System
PiperCross Viper Carbon fibre Cold Air Intake
Origin b2 GPS Safety Camera Locator

    Plans.......
    De-Cat Pipe
    Other stuff.....

The car seems so much more responsive with better pickup etc, with the Cold Air Intake and the Zorst, seems to have released a few more ponies, De-Cat should see a few more set free.

You can't decat a 172 properly due to the twin lamba sensors. The car will go into "limp home mode" and drive like a bag of poo.

Best to get a "freeflowing" sport cat. Just make sure you're lubed up first before asking for the price...

    Wrong

You can decat a 172, and yes even with the twin lambda's. The are quite a few on ClioSport that have done it. Even the Supersprint Race Systems are a full decat solution, just ruddy noisy!

The sports cat is the more expensive option at 330notes but obviously less hassle come MOT time.

Hmm, if people have done it then fair enough.. but I'm not convinced the ECU will like it much...

Ah - but you have a car that running, I just have a chassis thats cost a fortune to get upto spec and pieces of engine (though may have a block on the way... WOOT!)

Sounds like your taking the sensible route with the mods, though remeber to sort the brakes when upping engine power - no use going fast if you cant stop

Sounds good coco.... I might see it one day I bet ya missus aint happy with ya... no space for her shopping... and all that money getting spent on the car could go on shoes and useless girlie crap.

I've spent around £1500 in 3 months on my car

    2 x new 15" tyres
    timing belt kit
    OZ wheels
    2 x new 17" tyres
Sparco Pedals & Aluminium checkerplate custom foot rest
    Private Plate
    New plates made up
    Clio 172 handles
Cleaning products - *cough.. shall we keep off that subject * £xxx

Cars are fecking expensive but bloody good fun
