i think that the aggressive air filters on the side only look good on the sporty MG(the one thats on sale for £80,000)it looks terrible that they have tried to butch up what is a family car! i do not rate the new models at all. the old MG Z's were great, they looked perfect. why fix something that isn'nt broken?

I was never a fan of the cars they were based on, I then loathed the original chavved up MG's, and although they're a little more toned down, they're still pretty much an eyesore..
That XPower thing, if I was spending £80k+ on a car, there *much* better options for the money, Merc SL's, Noble M12, even a Porsche GT3 is £10k cheaper, hell, you could even buy *two* TVR Tuscan's..

I think (hope) that the 'gills' on the side are an option rather than standard.

It does look a bit toothless without a spoiler though.

    So......

My car is due replacement - I'll probably post again nearer the time.

It's got to be an MG (or a Rover).

    What should I get?

ZR/25/ZS/45/ZT-T/75 Tourer (ZT and 75 are too big unless I have the estate - I can't see the point in having a large car if you can't use the space). I can only get up to group 12 insurance (so no V8 or ZR 160).

It's effectively lease hire so I don't need to worry about residuals etc (if I was I probably wouldn't be buying a Rover )

    So what do you think??

Why can you only choose a rover/mg?

its probably restricted by his company, amex used to only allow rover/bmw group cars... which meant minis/rover 25s all round cos your allowance wasnt enough for a bimmer...

Pretty much as per 5lab - only there's no BMW connection anymore so it's Rovers or MGs.

Not going to go for a City Rover - sounds a bit too muh like Metro City and we all know what they were like.
