    Lets see your..... Fish Tank!

Well, i've got quite into Tropical fish over the last couple of weeks after talking at great length with my sister's boyfriend who is a marine biologist, and I have recently purchased my own fish tank - yey!

Not posting pics of mine yet as it isnt finished and hasn't finished cycling so i can't fully stock it...

But in the mean time, let's see your fishies!

    Ben

Don't make me cry. I love fish. I used to keep fish. Then I went to uni and had to sell them all, and I haven't returned to it since. Now again, if you ever visit Tucson, you might see wandering teary-eyed around the fish departments of pet shops.

Oh how I loved my Archer fish in my brackish tank. They used to spit for their food. They would even jump. Oh the joy of leaving the lid off the tank at night for atmospheric lighting, and then getting wet whilst watching TV because my beautiful toxotes would fire away at the shadows dancing on the ceiling.

How I miss the shocked expressions of the little kiddies as they scrambled to look up over the tank only to be spat at.

Seriously, I loved my fish. My beautiful archer fish. And my cute little bumblebee gobies. And my Knife Fish, and my African Butterfly fish. Oh, and my Monos, beautiful silver and yellow monos.

So therapuetic they were. No back talk from them. No disdain (unless you count the spitting - but then that was a sign of affection I feel).

Ah, thank you for this thread, all of the good memories are flooding back!

I got a fish tank, not tropical though, I like cold water fish more Personally I think they have more character. Will post some pics soon, it needs a clean and some new plants, maybe some more stone loach as well.

Dolphins? Probably, although, how do they do up against Sea Lions?

I'll get some pics up of mine up soon, digicam batteries are dead at the moment. What tank did you go with Bunjiweb? Nice to see you did some research before setting up you wouldnt believe how many people get a tank fill it up and plonk a few fish in it, which leads to disaster!
