I don't want a program that waxes lyrical about how many cubby holes a car has. If i want this i will buy the mag. Don't forget they have that too, and it has plenty of cheap cars in it. So when I watch the tv show i am very happy its as fun as it can be. And would you ever watch it at all if it droned on about how much space a micra has and how economical an agila is, instead of telling you that an agila may be fun on twisty stuff with demonstrating it in some spectacular way. I got a 1995 106 - and will keep it for another year and a half. I may never get a db9 (although i did get to drive a Ferrari in a car park) but i sure want to see one raced against a tgv to Monaco!

I think top gear is a top top program, cant see anything wrong with it.
    1) Makes me laugh
    2) Has very very nice cars
    3) Does crazy stuff (toyota last year!!)

I think that even if i was going to be buying a ford focus and i had the choice between watching an Aston being driven to the South of France, and a focus being driven round the M25 i would go for the Aston.

Becuase you can go a test the focus yourself and make your own personal opinion rather than possibly being influenced by someone else. Then you can go and test drive a rover equivlent, and a vauxhall equivalent. Picking the one you like best.

Where as with the Aston you arent realistically going to get a test drive in one, and then go to a Porsche garage and test drive that.

    Basically just like the show

Having seen fifth gear last night,, with its very useful (but not for me) review of the Softroaders i am now struggling to remember what else was in the show. Oh, yes, the PS2 rally driving bloke.

I will take "stupid" races to monaco in db9s and apache's chacing exiges any day of the week!

Wicked like the way it says "Narrow band" instead of 56k, or "baseband" as the correct term is
