Hate to tell you guys, but I fellin love with a Ford

    Focus RS.

Dont care about anything else really.....the finest thing to blow my breath away since my Quaiffe gearbox in my rally car....and this is an ENTIRE car.

Lets not sod about here.......it owns the entire world. I think.....I THINK...I'd rather own it that a Skyline now......unless the Skyline was monster spec.....cos this thing is untouchable...

the size the brakes the power, the ability.....

    un believable thing....

speechless......had to go wash and polish my rallly car just to remember what real life is.

Sorry to ruin all your days, but it is the finest thing.....and it has a FORD badge

It was quite extravagent when it was released, the lines, the angles. Totally the opposite of mundane.

Its a stunning car Zak I absolutely think they are the dogs nads. I have only been in an ST170....once, and that was fantastic, so heaven forbid what the RS is really like!!

If someone gave me the choice of that, an EVO or Subaru....it would be such a hard decision!!!

    Piccie is dead skii.

In Switzerland last year i saw what looked like a geniue focus ralley car, with the sponsership/roll cage. Looked very nice. However i dont know if some sad git had just done up a normal focus as there were a lot or modded cars over there. But it did look the real deal.

Something crazy like £400k to get one....:S (cant find any evidence to prove that correct, just what a friend said...so prove me wrong )

    Will

Managed to find a picture of it now it does look pretty good to me, some big wheel arches, some more air intakes.

I must say that if i was looking for the road going rally based cars, the Focus is the one i'd go for. It's just imo Scoobs and Evos are getting common, more so scoobs, and the Focus RS still has that exclusive feel to it.

Oh yeah then there is the 2l Turbo under the bonnet

Not really. Some cars look boaring and mundane after 1 day. Some cars never look boaring and mundane. The focus to me still looks good after 5 years, to you it doesnt (and it probably never did?), but then you do have an old 3 series bimmer so our tastes differ substantially

400k would be the full on rally car yeh? I think the Focus RS were goin for about 20k...but due to the rareness i read somewhere they hold there value amazingly and when you could buy them from new they were selling for substantially more than list price.

Here's an old article stating £19,995 OTR road at the end of the page...its a fairly old story though but i couldn't find any info on autotrader.co.uk or ford.co.uk about the car:

    http://driving.timesonline.co.uk/art...073808,00.html

Having only made 5000 or so they are going to be seriosuly rare!!

Yeah, true Sorry, reading my post again looks like I was having a dig, I just mean in general if you see something alot for 5 years (and the focus isnt exactly unpopular!) it can get a little dulll

Just out of interest how heavy was the clutch on the one you drove?, I've not driven the RS version but i drove the ST170 and its Clutch was heavy as fk, i'd need to put on 3 stone to be able depress it heh..

MY feeling is that clutches should be as easy as anything to depress, infact i like all my pedals like that
