Had to scrap the 12 year old focus so bought a 61 reg fiesta. Fab car, everything I need and cheaper on fuel and tax etc

I recently bought a BMW 130i Limited Edition, I wanted something small and hatchback like with decent performance that doesn't scream hot hatch.... Also love the fact its probably the last 6 cylinder NA engine that BMW will fit... everything is moving to turbo charged these days.
Will be keeping for the foreseeable future, dread the day I need to get rid
Thats my van, bought earlier in the year (broken) after my Vectra got stolen...ended up costing me about £60 to buy, and a couple of hundred to get running/mot'd
The wifes car, 1999 Fiat Brava, 1200cc's of pure power! , joking aside it has been a brilliant car for her. Has had general wear, tear and service parts over the years along with the headgasket a few months back. Came mot'd for a few months, gave the guy £50 for it as he just wanted shut after buying a new car so i just gave him some cash for the tax that was left on it, almost a whole six months!
Eldest lads car . He passed his test last year, but until he recently got himself a job, couldn't afford to run anything. This one was again (suprise suprise) broken...
£200 for the car and £250 for a new engine (which came out of a 2008 Fiesta with bugger all miles) and he was good to go. Worst bit of it...
You would not believe what a pain in the backside it is to get the stereo out of one of these, so you can get the serial number off it to calculate the code. But to then put it all back together, to find the cd player is fubar!!!
I had to take the old 200 Coupe off the road to do a bit of much needed restoration and a partial engine rebuild so I treated myself (or so I thought) to a C200 CDi (with uprated suspension, 18" Wolf Race rims and a mild remap by a former owner). Nice enough car but it's got as much personality as a house brick and I can't stand the damned thing so in the next week or so I'm picking up a 159Ti with the 1.9JTDM (more power and more refined sounding than the Merc's) which, with any luck (and a bit of pre-emptive maintenance with regards to water pump/cambelt seeing as it's sitting on 52,000 miles) not only gives me a much nicer place to sit (lovely interior and I love the quite aggressive looking and better proportioned exterior) but also a little more individuality on the road (I've only seen two in the fifteen months of commuting and one of those was a really beautiful 159 Sportwagon the other was seen coming back from looking at the car... typical eh?).
I was blessed to be given my Dad's old car. So I upgraded from a Focus 1.8 cTdi to a Accord 2.2 cTdi.
Not a fair comparsion but having the larger car helps with the long distance trips. Being desiel was the main thing and even though the accord is a bigger engine it was more fuel eco so hence why I took the car. The extra power is always helpful too...
Focus ST mk2. With the mountune upgrade kit (260bhp, 400Nm torque). Not exactly an eco box, but it's so much fun. Plus still has a huge boot and back seats. I don't want to ever sell it but I know eventually I'll have to

I have an astra cdti 120bhp xp 5dr, sporty but big enough for two kids, but fast enough to put my foot down when i need it, didnt fancy the 150bhp because of the engine issues.
I've just changed job and for the first time in 5 years will have to pay for my own fuel, which means the Audi Quattro 2.0TFSI has to go
I'm swapping it for a Mk.2 Focus 2.0 TDCi on Saturday, which is going to be weird at first but I think I'll like it once I've got used to having 136bhp instead of 200. The wife's had an almost identical Focus for 3 months now and they're really good cars - good to drive, cheap to run and reliable.
What a downgrade!! Get a map on it and I bet it'll not be far off 200!
Yeah bit gutted about it, but in reality the Focus is a decent car. The torquey nature of the tractor engine goes some way to concealing the drop in power. A remap would definitely be nice at some point though.
Also going to miss the Audi's 4WD and hoofing stereo, but the Focus has parking sensors and heated front screen which will soften the blow a bit

Same here! Once we had everything disconnected we dropped the engine in about half an hour, calmly, quietly out of the way on two trolley jacks... Trying to fix and then eventually swapping the stereo however... Well let's just say most of the street bore witness to almost a day long masterclass in profanity
We have had 2 differnt CR-Vs over the last 6-7 years after only having Golfs before that - one gold Golf GTI from work, then a variety of other ones
Absolutely hated the new CR-V (2013 model) when I looked at it, and planned to get a bigger 4WD when we got to Aus - I have recently gotten a new Kluger (Highlander) which is a bit smaller than the Land Cruiser, but same engine and automatic transmission
Hate the entertainment system, which is circa 2002, but it's a fantastic car to drive, 3.6L V6, heaps of space for the toddler, pram, pack, lab, etc
Having 7 seats really comes in handy when the whanau are over to visit from NZ or when doing fairly frequent airport runs
I did try the Q7, but it felt much smaller and was over twice the price
I wish the did the highlander in the UK, as it's a fantastic alternative to the Land Cruiser
