Police Speed Cops in Astra SRi.....

goading people into a speed trap

Just witnessed it.....2 police in an unmarked Astra Sri 2.2 with the full Imrmscher Style pack on....

they drive straight up behind you, and see if you'll race...if you bite, they pull you just before you get to 100....

light in the front grill and except for their Police Issue white shirts, with markings on the shoulders....impossible to tell apart.

I spotted em in my rear view on M40, pulled out of the way..they shot straight up behind the next car....he went for it ...pulled away.....less than a mile up, I saw the blues on...

    tugged.

Tell me about evil .... talk to me about filthy dirty tricks.

and have spoken to one of our mechanics here to warn him, and his friend was tugged last week in High Wycombe by a Ford Focus with the full style pack on.....

    this is getting outta hand

If anyone does that to me, i usually notice a dog run out in front of me and slam the brakes on so hard that those poor Pigs better make that SRI's disks glow sharpish!

Same on A46 where it goes to dual caridgeway, very fast bit of road.

Seen cops in a few fast cars, all unmarked with plain clothed officers in:
    Civic Type R
    Volvo S40 T5
    Merc E55 AMG
    Subaru STi

My mate told me about something similar happening to him one night coming down the M6. He drives a Alpine A610 and had a sooby glued to his bumper for several miles. It'd pull off at a junction, only to rejoin and reposition itself up his behind.

Fortunately for him he'd only had the car a week so was VERY apprehensive about caning it, and his wife phone the police as she thought they were about to be carjacked! 2 minutes after the phone call the sooby shoots off, 10 mins later they see it on the hard should with the blues on, talking to an RS.

It's absolutely sickening that the police do this.

If they tried that on with me, i'd contest it. Surely if it went to court you'd be able to have something done about, entrapment and tail gating.

thing is it is entrapment, but they way they get round it is as described police issue shirts and the markings but you cant make that out in a tiny rear view.

They would get in a fair bit of trouble with a judge, but you'd have to prove it was entrapment in court which could be difficult.
Personaly I'd just slam on the brakes if they hit you it will be their fault and you can promptly sue the sh^te out of the traffic division, it would be easier to prove then that they where trying to entrap you becuase they would have been driving under the safe braking distance away.

Talking of sueing, one of my mates Dad got hit by a police car in his L reg Cavalier LX 1.8.

After receiving a letter for Cheif Constable at Nottingham, saying the police accept full responsibility for the accident and are sending out a compensation cheque for £16,000.

So he got £16k from the police and ekpt his no claims. According to the guy at the insurnace company, its common practise for them to pay out lump sums like that, as if they get taken to court for it it can prove to be very expensive.

Thats pretty bad dude. Amazes me what the police in the UK get away with.

If i ever get something like this come up against me i'll campaign against it till they drag me off.

Its almost tempting to put some kind of camera in your car isnt it. Just incase you run into these bad coppers.

I respect police, they do a difficult job. I don't respect the kind of coppers that do the above, all they are doing is waving their willy's around, they aint upholding the law. While theyre busy running around having fun trying to race normal members of the public, grannies are geting raped, and shops are getting held up at gunpoint.

    Pathetic.

    That's nasty.

    Very nasty.

The most stupid thing is it's doing what they're trying to stop.
