It did look like a fuel fire indoors, didn't it?

They now think the battery sparked a fuel fire
Yep, the thinking is KERS started it somehow. Apparently 16 were people injured in Williams garage blaze: 1 with serious burn wounds airlifted to Barcelona hospital, 5 smoke inhalation treated locally. Other 10 were treated for smoke inhalation at track, but released.

Good race. Think Lewis would of won it fairly easily had he kept pole position, impressive to get 31 consistent laps out of the hard tyres at the end. Button was poor as was Webber, but the Red Bull looks to have nothing on the straights, Webber stuck behind Hulkenburg for most of the race. Massa was just awful, lapped by his team mate, only faster than the "new" teams. Strange strategy for Kimi, could of caught Alonso (and probably Maldanado) had he been brought in earlier guess they didn't want a repeat of China...
Great to see Williams on the top step again. Happy birthday Frank
Well done Pastor, a great present for Frank's 70th.

Well, I guess that's what I get for asking where Williams are this season
I don't know if it's because I watched "Grand Prix - The Killer Years" last night (highly recommended btw if you can catch it on iPlayer) but those photo's are a stark reminder that even with todays safety regulations working with and around those cars isn't without it's risks.
LEWIS!! 7 winners from 7 races. Well deserved for Lewis.
That being said wtf were Ferrari thinking with Alonso and RB with Vettel, cost them points big style. Lewis leads the championship.
Button had another awful race, can't get the tyres switched on at all.
Great drives from Perez and Grosjean. Awful luck for MS with the failure of DRS in the open position - although an interesting lap and a half to watch.
DRS is meant to fail closed, so some interesting questions to be asked there..
I think Grosjean and Perez show exactly what RB and Ferrari were thinking Lewis was the only one of the top three to stop twice.
Very negative from JB though.. always 'I don't know what we can do' etc.

I know but they should of seen what was happening earlier than they did, RB still stopped Vettel although much later, Ferrari should of thought of doing something similar with Alonso.
Perez and Grosjean did pit a couple of laps later than Alonso/Vettel and perhaps weren't pushing as hard/fighting with others/in clear air therefore easier to manage them. It was clear from timing that Hamilton was going to catch Alonso and Vettel from 2/3 laps after his stop.
Certainly questions on the DRS failure, speculation that there was some rubber stuck somewhere.
On another note Button has had 2 points since China.
Great drive from Perez and Grosjean I thought. Perez from 15th fair play. That guys gotta have a championship in his future.
Hamilton was spot on of course. Button struggling again, don't know if he gets the yips or something, when he's got it together the guys unstoppable, but as soon as something goes a bit wrong for him he seems to go to bits. Championship is shaping up brilliantly.
Just finished watching Valencia on IPlayer... I don;t usually bother because it's boring right? WRONG!! That was an awesome race, plenty of overtaking - Alonso winning from 11th.. qualifying all over the place. Brilliant. Although I can't help thinking that if Maldonado & Hamilton had been the other way round and it was Maldo in the wall, Hamilton would have got a grid penalty for the next race rather than a 20 second time penalty....

Yeah Hamilton would no doubt of got a harsher penalty - no doubt something similar to Verge's 10 grid place penalty for his dumbass move on the Caterham - they would of been close to points I reckon without the incidents with the Torro Rosso's.
Maldonado's move did annoy me though, fully off the track and just T-bones Hamilton, idiot.
Good drive from Alonso to pick up the pieces and nice to see Shumacher and Raikkonen return to the podium.
OK this is a very looong shot, but does anyone know the song that was playing during the credits at the end of the BBC coverage of the qualifying of the Valencia GP a few days ago on the 23rd? I can't for the life of me think of the name, it was like a summery dance song with african tribal sounding drums and singing - kinda reminds me of Played Alive by Safri Duo.
Watch it on iPlayer and skip to the credits?
I'm in Ireland so no iplayer unfortunately!
