    Customer Service you say....

Well just to counter act the bad customer service i've heard from a few other threads on here (sorry to hear it david, coco etc)

I had a coil pack on its way out on Friday afternoon, so phone my local skoda dealer up, they can't fit it in the afternoon which is fair enough only 2hrs till close up and they don't work over the weekend, again no problem, my car is driveable, its just a bit grogey, its running on three cylinders in effect.

But they sort out the car in for a checkup and fix it at 2pm on Monday afternoon, Turn up at 1:50pm on Monday, ah Mr Gooch, leave your car here, hand over your keys, engineer is straight on the case.

I go and sit inside and query the service guy about this coil pack, (i've had one go before and this to me is a worry). No problem Mr Gooch, we'll replace them all just to make sure your car didn't get a fault batch when on production line.

They also had to fix a lambda sensor which was out because of this failure.

No problems no quibbles, (i think he said coil packs are retail £165 a piece!)

So my figuring i've had best part of £800 sorted within an hour of getting the car there, and was back at work by 3pm.

So next time you want customer service guys you know where to go shopping

The german's are good. HAd to take my wife's mini in to get a new key coded. I drove there, they drove me home and then picked me up again when it was done! Also, the key and coding were cheaper than it would be for my 306.

Nice service, but i'd be annoyed ad the car actually needing "£800" worth of gubbins done (twice?!!).

Still at least you know if things do go wrong it will get sorted unlike many other car makes :|

I cant fault the CS I get from my "local" dealership... Ok, its 20 miles away but its my nearest BMW dealership.

Free valet when done, free tea/coffee while waiting (if you want) and they will chaffeur you into the city centre. Detailed reports on whats wrong and what they have done and they dont make up work just to charge you...

My car was in for 3 hours at one point because of a knocking sound from the front and the last service mentioned the rear ball joint.... They couldnt find anything wrong with the ball joint or the knocking but spent 3 hours trying to locate it and dint charge me a bean, nad, zilch, zip and I STILL got a free valet

Aren't these the same Coil Pack's that VW have been having endless problems with. Was on Watchdog aaages ago.... seems it affects VW's Audi's, Seat's, Skoda's.... good job there's warranty on the car - wouldn't want that bill yourself.
