I just get worried when people start talking about extra fag sockets..... got visions of little Xmas trees on the dashboard and blue tacky light sticks that clip onto the heater grills..... I hope none of these will enter Shads car...... I doubt they would though.

I'm tempted to run a fag lighter into the boot of my car. Would come in handy to have a fridge in the boot at car shows and stuff

I could do with a couple of extra sockets , preferably nearer the screen as the s13 one is usually between the front seats :/ - makes a bti fo a cable strech for the pda :/

It's the only thing that Halfords do (I had vouchers to use up) and I'm unlikely to ever need more than 2 at a time

The reason I needed something was because the starter button is where the fag lighter used to be!

what you need there, is to get a sparky to hard wire them in rather than have cables stretching everywhere.....

Bit of a slow day, mostly spent trying to work out where it's letting water in from. The doors are leaking where the window should seal at the bottom, but that might be solved by putting the door cards back in to squeeze it all together. Then the rear windows are leaking slightly, even after applying plenty of silicone on the inside edge. Then the rear washer jet was leaking, which I think is fixed now, tho there's still water coming in from somewhere around there. Oh and the boot seal leaked, but that's sorted now.

    Very annoying. Carpet's in though

get the carpet back out! Otherwise it's just gonna soak up all that leaking water.

Try dusting around the doors and windows with talc - helps show where the water is coming in from.

Carpet's fine because it only covers the front half of the car where there don't appear to be any leaks. The doors are leaking into themselves and the rest is happening in the boot

Will try the talc idea tho, ta!

Not had much luck with cars eh Shad, looking good now though. I pranged my 3 week old MG ZR... oops. Nice dent in the boot, rear glass shattered. A little annoyed but the company are paying for the car, if it was my money I'd probably have screamed.

    Sorry to hear that Oakey.

Was at my wits end yesterday with the sunroof leaking so until I can spare some pennies for a new seal I've siliconed it shut to stop it leaking. It's winter so I'm pretty unlikely to want to use it anyway...

Hopefully that'll be the last of the leaks taken care of. Now I can get on with cleaning the carpet and putting the centre console back \o/

Another set back. All was going along well, the carpet had cleaned up really nicely and looked mint, ditto for the door cards and seats. The whole front interior was in. Then I started with the boot, lost my balance and sliped, landed on my arm akwardly and dislocated my shoulder

So the next week or so will involve no driving and not much car tinkering

    Gutted (again)

O dear! They say owning a classic japanese performance car is like making love to a beautiful woman, first she tests your metal, then she tests your commitment, then when she's finally happy that you will 'look after her till death do us part' she'll make sure your willing to spend inordinate amounts of money on her, then and only then will she give you a night of pure passion the likes of which you never seen before...

    *ahem*

Well with the help of my dad and a mate we managed to finish the interior yesterday. It looks fantastic! The dry foam cleaner I used on the fabrics has made it all come up looking like new.

The outside needs a good clean now though so hopefully will do that tomorrow and take some pics

Just wish I could drive the damn thing!!
