Old figures admittedly but the evo's still a good margin ahead and only a few seconds behind a 520bhp Ruf 911Mitsubishi Evo VI - 8.25
Subaru Impreza Turbo - 8.37
I agree with much of what has been said, the EVO does have more presence etc however Im not sure about the chav upgrade comment about the Scooby! Im not a chav, never have been never will be and I've had one. Got it cause I always wanted one and Ive got to say it was a fantastic car to drive. The only fault was that as standard it could out handle its own performance and would have needed a fair bit of money spending to give it the beans it deserved ( ask J4mes how much his father-in-law has spent on his!) To that end as a drivers car I think the EVO would win in my view. (but you cant beat the understated looks of the origional (and best!) Scoobys)
Scooby. Although their current styling seems to be getting BIGGER (ie lights) and worse.
The Evo is just overpriced, I still personally prefer the Evo VI in terms of looks over all the others.
The fastest, nicest car i have been in. Is an Skyline R34. Cost the guy £34,000, his wheels....£2,000 each (gold plated). Took me for a spin in it, 120MPH down the other side of the road. Grin factor : could of fit a litre bottle in my mouth side ways.
Aslo been in Michaels brothers Subaru. VERY nice rumble!
But i still love the Evo's, my dream car. And one day i will get one!
i prefer the scooby, dispite the fact that the evo is a better allround car
the new Evo VIII looks like poo
Evo. New 400 bhp VIII does 0-60 in 3.6 seconds. Leave it.

Yeah, but doesn't it need an oil change every 1500 miles, and a full engine rebuild every 20,000 or so? For that money you might as well get a Skyline GTR and tune it up to 450BHP- just as quick, and a far less stressed engine.

My calibra gets an oil change every 3000 miles, some cars depending on how u drive them need oil changes, if thats a problem for ya u shouldnt b drivin that sorta car, people say my callys crap as its only averagin 24.4mpg, so chuffin what, if that was an issue I'd buy a weasel...
LOL of course it does it is developing 200 bhp per litre. That's not really the point of the car tho.Originally Posted by Rave

Well, I just can't see that it's worth £15,000 over a FQ330, or an equivalent Impreza. The little fins behind the rear window don't do it for me TBH.
As already stated though, I'm a chronic Subaru tart, never to be converted.

Love scoobies to much to be swayed!
Managed to source a picture of the GTR-34 :
560bhp
Latest quarter mile time was :
12.006 @ 115mph
