    2006 Honda Civic

    Bog Standard:

    more pics here

    Type R:

According to the blurb I've seen the engine is being uprated from 2.0 201hp to 2.4 ~250hp.
17's are standard, 18's optional. Whether the extra power is to cover any extra weight is anyones guess at the minute.

Personally i think the bog standard model is third world ugly, especially the back. The TR is a little less repulsive, the exhaust fitting into the rear bumper looks good, and the lights are much nicer, but i still prefer the current model although there is still time for them to sort it in the next 18 months

Think I'd rather have a Golf GTI if thats what it ends up looking like, anyone else?

Actually the more I look at it, the more I like it, the vanilla model has got a bit of a 206 thing about it, but the TR is growing on me, got kinda alpha lines.

I'm the same daniel, i first saw it yesterday and hated it.

I still hate the standard version, but the Type R is beginning to grow.
Hmm how much do you reckon the lump out of a totalled one of these will be? Engine transfer into a 54 CTR anyone?

Those are awful pictures of the TypeR, it looks so huge, I await decent some pics before I make judgement.

looking at the Type R pic again, i think its photochopped

the perspective angle of the front grille is completely different to the rest of the car, and its also not parrallel to the bottom of the windscreen.
Also, I'm pretty certain the wheels have been pasted on. First off, they're at the exact same rotation, not impossible but suspicious. Secondly the brake discs are the same size on the front as they are at the back - i think not.

And I've just noticed the bottom pic is just the top one mirrored and lightened

Don't think it is fair to judge from those. It is still heavily disguised.
