440s are rather gash actually, but make brilliant cheap buys. i'm driving one at the moment (my dads) - well i'm not cos i'm in canada, but i would be if i were back home... the 1.8 engine is the best of hte bunch - its nippy (0-60 in ~10s) and does 40mpg without trying. unfortunatly his car has a knackered manual box, so getting first is a major hassle. insurance isnt all that cheap (cos of the speed) either. renault engine. wheelspin if you do anything, but the steering is fairly direct. advertised properly it could probably get ~£200

on a more serios note, zak does it have a hight adjust drivers seat? want to fit one to my next 340 (got given it, and it has t/t till june!!) because the front seats are propper nice and comfy for my big frame

ironically

my dad stacked his 440 into a parcel force van a few months back - he mashed the headlight, bonnet, bumper, wing and a bit of the frame. it was fully comp, and he got £800 back for it.. it was a k reg 1.8 Li (base spec). didnt even have electric windows, and he got £800 for it! i proptly fixed it back up for £100.. involved bending the frame back into shape with a crowbar

i suspect this will go for £50-ish, but tbh if you stuck an mot on it it would easily fetch £300
