I'll grab the scraps of paper that "should" still be in his car that helped us install them and tidy them up so everyone else can install them with a basic knowledge of speakers and cabling
The difference in quality was amazing and the time it took was about 4 hours ( 2 of that was messing about testing the speakers in his car and coffee/ciggy breaks every 30 mins
Hehe, i thought you were gonna say he won that bleedin' Vulva...sorry...Volvo your selling...
no...behave you
It intrigues me. A set of Creative Speakers for the PC, installed in the car. Bloody superb idea tbh.
Would love to see it / hear it

surely it must drag a LOT of power off the battery though - will you not have to convert the 12v to 240 then all the way back to 9?

You wouldn't need an inverter would you unless the voltage is higher than 12v.
Is this the new 407? Pics of it installed?
Did you put the speakers on the pillars or something? Or the dash?
This sounds very interesting

The speakers are just stuck with masking tape at the moment to the top of the dash and shelves.
As for pics - I'm going to see him sometime this weekend so I'll get pics of it installed
sounds very good - 5 speakers and a subwoofer would probably sound much better than the 2 bog standard ford speakers i've got in me fiesta - would definitely be interested in trying this

The thing is... this was a hack of an attempt and to be honest the bass is not passed to the subwoofer (yet..._) as the outputs we could find out of the back of his radio and on the wires was "Front left and right" and "rear left and right" now we bodged these with wires so they then both connected to the front input and the rear connected to the rear input.Originally Posted by joshwa
So technically its 4 speaker stereo ( whatever the official name is ) and the speakers are there as a temp solution to resolve his lack of speakers that work
ah right, so your not using the creative amp at all?

My friend needs some new speakers for her car, so this sounds like the perfect birthday gift for her
Any news?
