noise..

ok, got a new car and its LOUD. basically, when idling you cant hear anything, but whenever the engine is putting load into the wheels there is a loud noise - sounds like it could be the exhaust blowing but it isnt, because you can feel the vibration of the noise thru the acc pedal. let off the gass and it dissapears - i can find the point where it 'starts', and if i hold just below that the noise comes on whenever the car goes over a minor bump in the road - similar to when osmething was hanigng off the bottom of a different car, but theres nothing hanging off. ANY ideas? i'm guessing some bearing or other.. or maybe an engine mount? its a volvo 340, which is a rwd car with the clutch at the front.

Could be the exhaust? Not hanging off, but badly mounted can cause a lot of noise.

Dragging clutch? Dodgey engine mount?

tis an engine mount - took it to a garage yesterday. i'd fix it myself but dont have my trolly jack here, so the garage is doing it

Gotta add my mounts to the long list of things thar are getting a little tiered.

£600 motoring is ok till you decided to spend another £600 on new parts!
