Anyone going tomorrow then?
well, not anymore. Clutch is on its last legs, now slipping if you crack the throttle wide open in 4th or 5th gear at 4krpm or above. Gear changes are not much fun either so I'd be losing at least a second on any runs I did, so no point really.
Hopefully next month. Should have my new wheels by then too
Taking my oldest up before the easter Thunderball - L535 Silver Mondy.
Hopefully Danny Cokerill has stayed over with his ProMod Chevy
oooh, do come and say hello and give me a few tips

Sorry mate - couldnt find you anywhereOriginally Posted by CocoPops
Anyway - you can tell where my heart is when you see these!
Have you seen my contacts, I dropped it round here somewhere...
My ears, My ears
Which leads us onto this
Remember this from last year when it was in white gel coat
And I believe first time out for this
All in all a bit of a non-event for me, especially after yesterdays good weather, and to top it off I didnt get to see a new Pro Mod run...
Hopefully the Thunderball next weekend should be better - though as its Easter I bet it will rain
looks like you had a great time
I'm within cuppa distance on the way back to the A5 for you...
you need to drop in some time !

Not decided on which day yet as they all cost the same. Will be watching the weather VERY closely to see what’s happening, then decide if its worth going to watch qualifying (and see all the cars run) or the finals..... decisions decisions.
Keep an eye on www.eurodragster.com for the provisional running orders
Same here, checking the weather very very closely. My friend who I am going with says that even if its slightly damp none of the cars run, is this right? [Ruin the day if that happens mind.]Originally Posted by Eazieb
And what sort of view do you get if you don't go grandstand?
IMHO Santa Pod are probably the best for rack drying/cleaning (Shakey still use brushes..... ) BUT if the tracks not 100% they wont run for saftey reasons - though on these events entertainment is usually put on while the dry-up / clean-up carries on.Originally Posted by TomWilko
Was chatting to my Super Modified mate last night - probably the best day to see the maximum amount of cars is Sunday. Super Modifieds have to be engine teched on Saturday (engine will be totally stripped so that bore/valves/cam lift etc can be measured) so they wont be running till Sunday and they are the fastest 'door slammers' that will be running that weekend (unless the UK Pro Mods turn up). Sunday will also be qualifying for the other classes - so you should see a good range of cars.
Views from the banking are good - not that much different from being in the stands really - the stands only really come into their own when your right near the top, and remember that the pits are always open (where I spend too much time - never know what bargains are lurking! )
