Nice one, looks like you got an absolute bargain there

Ok now I'm horribly jealous. 'Just another' quattro would have been ok, I could take that, but a sport?! ME WANT! (have always wanted, will always want)
I do so hope you use it the way it deserves to be!

just restoring the inside of the boot now, from something that must have happened years ago. just needs some sandblasting and i'm set.

have you had any trouble with the torsen diff?various reports of them failing and monster repair bills put me off getting a normal wheelbase one..
that car really is one of my all time favourite motors....especially if its got a 20v lump in there?
no trouble with the diff yet - the one in thats only done 57k, which isn't bad for a 22 year old car. The diffs are actually extremely strong in quattros, there are loads of things that are more likely to go wrong!
and no, it doesn't have a 20v lump... yet remind me at the end of the year, i'm hoping to atleast have it sat in the garage by then even if its not in the car
Nox
Thats nice Nox, looks like a great example.
It seems to em that you have to go back to the 80s for both good music and good cars nowadays
New cars seem so pale in comparison, they're just not flamboyant enough.
Well, I cant compete with some of the 'beasts' on here...
But... This is my first EVER brand new car . I picked it, with the spec, and the reg, not that I had much choice with registrations - was the best of a bad lot - HRH had gone
She's a 120BHP 1.9Dci, variable geometry turbo and a 6 speed box . Top of the range 'Privelege'. Leather, cruise, tyre pressure monitors, yada yada yada. But before you knock it, I can do 80 to work and still get 48mpg!
Nice car mate.
I take it you haven't had many problems with it though? I've got a friend that was close to handing his back, and there was one parked outside my house yesterday with a yellow van parked behind it
Reliability aside though I love the shape.
Ta... And yes, had a few minor niggles so far, auto wipers not detecting fine rain being the main.
What probs did mate have so I can keep eye out?
Like the car, except the sticky out 'arse' bit...
wouldn't say no to 48mpg tho!
