I renewed mine last week.... my renewal from directline was £585...... and when i asked to add my mam/dad who are both 50 odd year old with full NCD's.... the price went upto £650.

Yet when i tried Admiral... I got a quote of £570... but when I added my parents to the policy as additional drivers.... the price came down to £470

So I get a cheaper price... and the convinence of having my parents on the policy.

Insurance makes less sense everytime I think about it, my mate has a cheaper insurance after putting his girlfriend on despite her being the same ages.

I'd try putting my girlfriend on mine for a cheaper quote but she doesnt drive

Find an old woman... and put her on the policy

Job done! Confused led me to Admiral. Added my mum to the policy (not my old man cos he got done driving too fast in his mid-life-crisis 996 ) - 316 fully comp with a 150 excess. That's insanely good for london with the car kept on a road...

Yeah, Confused came up with Admiral for me too....in fact it was the only quote it came up with, all the others refused as my car has a non-standard air filter. Still, moving from one part of the Admiral group to another saved me over £110 from my renewal quote. I'll probably have to move back next year though when they bump it back up again.
