Hmmmm, Breadvan Civic hatchback.
No 200bhp VTEC? No point.

i may be wrong (i'm not critain about this by any means) but i thought that pre-reg meant the dealer sold it to himself (in, say june), to keep his sales figures up, then sells it second hand to you?

Congrats, looks very nice - pleased for you.
A nice car doesn't have to be 200bhp Fox.
Nice car

well I aint bothered if I am second owner, I know the DVLA don't even know this plate is applied to the car, yet, I know its just a number they allocated to the garage to apply to a car, its the new pre reg rules or something....
Im just sorting out the finances now...

haggle on the finances - most brokers are able to give around 2% off the origional quote (i've been watching 'right car wrong car' on cable)

That is a nice car Well done matey. Fox, Civics are good cars anyway, the Type-R is just... Better. It's a brand new (almost) car, it's gonna last Matt a while and it's reliable... Looks nice too. Nice colour. Good job

no finances, bank of dad is funding it on a 0% rate and I pay him monthy, works well for me and saves being peanlised for paying back early etc etc ( Hope to pay him back within 12 months for example..the dealer was in bits by the time I had finished with him yesterday and he hasn't even met me yet
Type R would have been nice, BUT, insurance was £2k +, it goes through tires like I go through cans of Red Bull and not only that, but petrol wise, its miles more expensive and I do quite a bit of milage.
Main thing for me is the overall deal I got, its a stunner

well.....here is where my day just fell apart, yesterday, my Clio which I am using as a trade in was squeezed out on a roudabout by a van driver on his mobile, I basically got carved up as he changed his mind about which exit he wanted, and therfore the back wheel clattered into a curb.....
Then I drove a bit further and thought **** the wheel bearing (which I had done a month ago) had shattered.
So I took it up the specialist after work last night, he said he would do it this morning. They just called, the axle is twisted and the wheel prongs are all squint, it needs a new axle, £300 + VAT and labour most likely, I see this being the possible end to this deal.
Whats worse? I didn't get the van drivers details as he buggered off....
Its just not even funny....

Defo get a second opinion. Unless you hit the curb side on, I very much doubt a Clio rear axle would twist that easily!
