nope, I dont think this is the only hit, basically, it started to get sketchy at the back when I clipped a curb a few months back, the only reason I couldn't just get away with the bearing is the fact he went to fit the new one and the hole for it is no longer big enough, hence the breaing that was a month old had shattered I guess.

Fair play, these guys are fantastic, I know them well.

It took him 1 minute to drive up the road and back, he said it was that bad and tbh, I felt it too.

Just spoke to the garage, they are ok with it, I have told them it will all be fixed, he said you would not beleive the number of people this happens to after a deal is sealed.

    Go figure.

    Matt.

Depends dude. Mk1 I agree. Mk2 wouldnt surprise me as it doesnt have a torsion bar.

With the 16's on its not worth so much, especially with highmilage, but I have seen 16k cars go for £11-12 on the penta's, i just happened to get a killer deal.

lease if you want, but at the same time, its not much different to owning tbh, seeing as you paying for a car you give back...

Doll, think you are right, my clio is an X plate 2000 car, well it will be a was next weekend

Then I drove a bit further and thought **** the wheel bearing (which I had done a month ago) had shattered.

So I took it up the specialist after work last night, he said he would do it this morning. They just called, the axle is twisted and the wheel prongs are all squint, it needs a new axle, £300 + VAT and labour most likely, I see this being the possible end to this deal.

Whats worse? I didn't get the van drivers details as he buggered off....

    Its just not even funny....

Yes I agree - not normally a fan of japanese cars but that looks nice - thanks for sharing your experiences.
I always ground my car as soon as I have done a trade in deal - cycle, walk take the bus - but don't take it on the road - different in your case I suppose because of your high mileage.

Nice car, I bought a red supercharged Civic Type -R last week. First time I've owned any jap car. Handling is pretty good & the power is non too shabby either.

    Enjoy it!
